This past summer we had the pleasure of completing a building cleaning project at Indiana University South Bend (IUSB). The University decided to upgrade the landscaping in two courtyards. Some large trees and unsightly landscaping were hauled out so they could start from fresh. Acorn Landscaping took on the project of laying out the design with new brick pavers, trees, and shrubbery. We were hired to pressure wash all the dirt, mold, and mildew off the bottom sections of the limestone walls.
Using Eco-friendly cleaners, hot water and high pressure we cleaned the limestone to look new again. This was a challenging project as the courtyards are only accessible from inside the building. We left all our equipment and machines outside and ran more than 600 feet of pressure hose down a few hallways to reach the courtyards. All the cleaning also had to be done on short notice and over the weekend but we were able to accommodate.
We also cleaned several very old limestone benches that were all stained with mildew and dirt. They turned out just as beautiful as all the limestone walls that we cleaned. The cleaning project went great and we got word that officials at IUSB were extremely happy with the overall project. Thank you to IUSB and to Acorn Landscaping for a successful commercial cleaning project.
